... Twenty minutes from the
city centre in the beautiful
Piccadilly Valley of the Adelaide Hills ...
Cellar Door is open between 11.30am and 5pm on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday, on public holidays (other than Good Friday,
Christmas Day and New Year's Day) and at other times by appointment.
The tasting area is located in a conservatory with a winter fire
or, if weather permits, in the adjacent garden area surrounded by
the vines of Uley Vineyard.

... Magnificent wines in
tandem with this idyllic location
have people returning again and again
... The 25 acre property of Uley comprises 14 acres
of vines, nine acres of bushland and 2 acres of stunning gardens
... featuring tulip tree, claret ash, Japanese maples, silver birches,
acers, dogwoods, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas and
more.
Platters are offered on weekends - a selection of
cheeses and dips highlighting specialties of food producers of the
region. Wines can be purchased by the glass or bottle, or simply
enjoy complimentary tastings of the current release wines. Lindsay
and Carolyn are at cellar door
most
of the
time to
host guests.

... Quote from David Sly in the high class magazine 'SA Life'
(November 2005) ...
"Lindsay and Carolyn Barratt
bought the renowned Uley Vineyard at the northern tip of Piccadilly
Valley
in 1990 (from the late Ian Wilson of Krondorf Winery fame) and have
since won great acclaim for their sophisticated chardonnay and pinot
noir ...
They started inviting the public for what is surely one
of the most pleasant wine tasting experiences in the State ... Allow
plenty of time, as Lindsay insists you sit while tasting their small
but smart selection of wines, which has expanded to include sauvignon
blanc, an intense merlot and excellent dry rosé."
