Barratt 2018 Piccadilly Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Intensely varietal and aromatic, the wine displays tropical fruit, passionfruit, citrus, elderflower, gooseberry and herbaceous aromas followed by a palate with persistent fruit flavours, minerality, length and crispness from natural grape acidity.
Barratt 2016 ‘Uley Vineyard’ Chardonnay
This elegant cool climate Chardonnay is well described as “peaches and cream”. Peach aromas lead onto a rich, creamy palate with added oak-derived smoky notes. A beautifully balanced wine with fresh citrus acidity and great length.
Barratt 2016 ‘Uley Vineyard’ Pinot Noir
Varietal aromas of dark cherry, berry and plum are complexed with smoky, earthy, forest floor and savoury characters. The palate reproduces the sweet cherry and berry fruits, adding spiciness and soft, silky tannins which support a lingering, expanding finish to the wine.
Barratt 2018 ‘Piccadilly Sunrise’ Rosé
Pastel pink in colour, the aromas and flavours are those of strawberries, pink grapefruit, rose petals and Turkish delight. The palate is dry, finishing with lingering fruit flavours and crisp citrusy acidity. Excellent as a refreshing aperitif or complimentary to most Asian–style dishes.
Barratt 2011 ‘The Ambrose’ Merlot
A complex nose of mulberries, blueberries, plums, savoury olive notes, cedar, earthiness and chocolate is followed by a soft palate with fine tannins, good length and balance. Despite its age at release (6 years) this wine continues to develop and has potential to age and improve for some years yet.
